Master of Science in Engineering Technology

The Department of Engineering Technology offers a Master of Science in Engineering Technology.

The Engineering Technology program is designed to provide the advanced knowledge and skills needed by individuals in technological careers. The curriculum is built on a foundation of theoretical and applied concepts related to practical problems in the industry.

The program is located at the Clarksville campus and is delivered in the traditional classroom format. Austin Peay has made a significant investment in a laboratory equipped with a range of modern, industry-standard equipment for rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing.  Courses are offered in the accelerated eight-week course schedule. 

The program admits for all terms through the APSU Clarksville campus.  To apply, please complete the Engineering Technology application.

Admission Requirements

The Engineering Technology program admits for all terms through the AP Center @ Fort Campbell. To be admitted, applicants should meet the following admission requirements:

The admission decision will be based on the entire academic and professional record. Only completed admission packets will be forwarded to the department admission committee for consideration. Admission decisions are made by the Engineering Technology admission committee. *Candidates with degrees in related fields, such as physics, chemistry, computer science, or mathematics may be required to complete additional undergraduate courses in engineering technology after consultation with an academic advisor.

International Admission Requirements

To view graduate programs available to international students, refer to the Graduate Programs for International Students page on the College of Graduate Studies website. Dependent upon program and/or visa status, additional graduate admission requirements must be met. Please refer to the Admission Requirements for International Students page on our website for detailed information and forms that may be required. All admission documents must be received and processed before selection committee review.

Admission Status

Regular admission will be granted to applicants who have met all entrance requirements. To be granted conditional admission, unofficial transcripts and entrance exam scores may be submitted until the official documents are received by Graduate Admissions. If official documents are not received as prescribed in the current Graduate Bulletin all classes will be dropped. Denied admission status will be granted to applicants who do not meet the regular or conditional criteria for admission to the program.
