FMLA meetings every Monday @ 5:30-6:30 p.m., MUC310 

The Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance meet every Monday in MUC 310 to discuss upcoming events, equality issues, as well as offer help to one another. If you are interested in a way to get involved come join FMLA. There are no dues, all we ask is to bring your voice and an open mind.  Also help plan and execute events, learn about leadership trip to Washington, D.C. in March.

The Clothesline Project. October 26, UC Plaza 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.  A visual display that bears witness to interpersonal violence.  Survivors or loved ones of survivors are invited to design Tshirts to tell their stories. Materials available to make Tshirts.  Learn resources for healing or legal procedures.

WGS Service Learning Students

Arrive at 8 a.m. at HH 144 to transport materials to the UC Plaza.  Assist in hanging rope and Tshirts.  Read materials and educate visitors or assist visitors in making a Tshirt.  Make a Tshirt. Other service learning students are welcome to participate.

Walk a Mile in Their Shoes,  Sexual Assault Center fundraiser!   ($50,000 goal)  $5 to walk.  $10 to observe.  More details will be available soon.  Sponsor a team. Have a good time.    Since the SAC opened in October 2015, they have expanded. Two full-time, 2 part-time, and a Spanish-speaking therapist serve our community. Outreach educator Valerie Guzman educates community groups and coordinates placing curriculua in the schools to educate children.  Educating 5 percent of a community creates a dramatic drop in the incidence of sexual assault.  Contact WGS office, 221-6315 for more information.
