Carmen C. Reagan
Outstanding Leader Award
The Carmen C. Reagan Outstanding Leader Award was established to honor community and university leaders whose involvement has strengthened the College of Business. Dr. Reagan is a former dean of the College as well as a community volunteer and philanthropic leader.
The Austin Peay College of Business honors one external community leader, faculty/staff member, and student whose outstanding involvement with the APSU College of Business and its mission to enhance the University and the Clarksville community. The 2021-2022 recipients are:
-
Outstanding Community Award – Cynthia Pitts for her work with Bella’s Closet and assisting APSU with providing professional clothing to our students. From Mrs. Pitts’ nominator - “Cynthia identified a need in the community and has worked since the conception of the idea to collaborate with groups around Clarksville to reach as many individuals as possible.” College of Business is thankful for Cynthia and the impact she has on influencing others to lift Clarksville up.
Outstanding Student Award – Rebecca Harris for her continued commitment to her studies, never-ending help within the College, and representing non-traditional students. From Mrs. Harris’ nominator – “Rebecca Harris is the amazing definition of a non-traditional graduate student. She began pursuing her education after working and becoming a mother, so school was something she actively had to weave into her life. She completed her ACCT undergraduate degree and wasted no time enrolling in our MSM program.” College of Business is beyond proud to watch our students flourish and we were happy to see our voters so enthralled by Rebecca’s nomination!
Outstanding Faculty or Staff Award – Crystal Hambrock for her hard work in building a career readiness coach position for the College of Business from the ground-up and for the unwavering commitment to empower students to think beyond Kimbrough. From Ms. Hambrock’s nominator – “As the first career readiness coach on campus, Crystal has been a go-getter like no other. The perspective she has in regards to student success, and creating new opportunities to illicit engagement, has been nothing short of inspiring.” College of Business is forever shaped by Crystal’s attention to shaping this college-specific position and helping students prepare for their careers.
Of the college’s announcement, Dr. Mickey Hepner, dean of the College of Business said, “I would like to congratulate Cynthia Pitts, Rebecca Harris, and Crystal Hambrock for being this year’s award winners. Each one of these leaders makes our community and our college better every day.”
