Larry W. Carroll Govs Fund
The purpose of the Larry W. Carroll Govs Fund Program is to provide a valuable experiential-learning opportunity for students and allow them to explore their passions in finance and investments by enabling them to manage an investment portfolio.
The opportunity to be a Student Portfolio Manager is open to all APSU CoB students. At the beginning of each academic year, the Faculty Govs Funds Advisors will meet to select students from a pool of applicants. The Student Portfolio Managers will work closely with the Faculty Govs Funds Advisors to achieve the purpose and investment objective of the Govs Funds.
The Dean of the College of Business selects members of the Faculty Govs Funds Advisors, representing various disciples with the College. The Advisors provide direct oversight of and guidance to the Student Portfolio Managers.
All transactions within the Govs Funds portfolio will be approved by the Faculty Govs Funds Advisors to ensure compliance with the investment objective and guidelines.
Once per academic semester, the Student Portfolio Managers will report on the Govs Fund’s performance and present the report to Larry W. Carroll, the University President, the Dean of the College of Business, and the APSU Vice President for Advancement.
For additional information about the Govs Fund Program, please contact Dr. Dong Nyonna at firstname.lastname@example.org.
