GOMB Day 2021

We are excited to welcome ALL high school band students to spend a day with us a member of the GOMB! We will rehearse in the morning, eat lunch, and perform in the stands and on the field at an APSU Football Game. In 2019 we ROCKED our home crowd with a band of 700+ members!

GOMB Day 2021 is scheduled for Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 8:00am through the end of the football game, around 7:00pm. Parents & guests can purchase a ticket for a discounted price by using a discount code at checkout (link and code coming soon).

If you are auditioning for MID-STATE, you can arrive late and still join us in the stands (but not on the field) and get a shirt!

Registration for GOMB Day 2021 has closed. We hope to see you with us at GOMB Day 2022 - a date will be announced over the Summer.

FALL 2022 MARCHING BAND INFORMATION:

We are thrilled to have YOU join us in 2022 for a fantastic marching band experience complete with Pre-Season GOMB Week (Band Camp), full shows with marching, and performances at home football games and exhibitions at marching competitions.

PLACEMENTS (AUDITIONS) All students with High School band experience will be accepted into the GOMB, but we need material (an audition) from our members for part splits, equipment assignments, etc. Students who do not have high school band experience may audition, but acceptance is based on the materials.

BRASS & WOODWINDS – Video audition due in mid-July. All members (returning and new) will submit a brief video audition. Details regarding the video audition will be emailed to all students who have completed the membership interest form. We will find a solution for those who do not have access to an instrument.

PERCUSSION – An in-person audition will be held in June 2022, with materials emailed to all those who complete the interest form below. If you cannot attend the audition day, it is REQUIRED that you submit videos PRIOR to the audition date.  Please contact Mr. Schnettler for details regarding the video submissions process.

COLOR GUARD – An in-person audition will be held in June 2022. There is nothing to prepare ahead of time, but we encourage all members to practice body/dance and flag fundamentals before the audition date. We will email all students who have completed the membership interest form at least one month prior with details about the day. Please wear appropriate clothes for an indoor rehearsal, and prepare for dance and flag work. We will have extra flags on site if you need to borrow one. If you cannot attend the audition day, it is REQUIRED that you submit videos PRIOR to the audition date. Please contact Mr. Schnettler for details regarding the video submissions process.

COMPLETE THIS FORM TO GET ON OUR LIST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
