Support from Real People
Distance Education Support is available Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm at email@example.com, 931-221-6625, or in McReynolds 216. Additionally, you can submit support ticket requests online as well. Staff can help you with any of the technologies above or with general questions about online learning.
The Distance Education website (you are already here, great first step!) has a wealth of information for you including an Introduction to Online Courses Guide with FAQs, helpful tips, a directory of student resources, and technology training. Additionally, this guide to digital learning resources offers you a quick and comprehensive overview of all the information you need. Explore these resources with the menu on this page. As an APSU online student, you have many resources and people available to help you make your online experience a success!
Free one-on-one, online tutoring is available for you. It is available on-demand through your courses in D2L, 24/7 and can assist you in many subjects. More information about this important service is available on the online tutoring website.
You have a Zoom account so that you can video conference, share, and chat with other students and your instructors, which is a great way to work on group projects and stay connected with family and friends.
What to do When Classes Start
The biggest thing you will need to do when classes start is access your courses! You can access D2L through AP OneStop or at elearn.apsu.edu using your OneStop credentials. Please save this link (elearn.apsu.edu) because if OneStop is ever unavailable, you can still access your courses directly at that link.
If you have never used D2L before, you can find helpful resources including videos on this website by selecting the Student Resources tab. One resource that you may find really helpful is the new D2L Student Task Guide which provides information about the commonly used tasks in D2L and videos on how to perform each task. You may want to save these links as well. Use these resource as needed to help you navigate and function inside D2L and don't forget to contact Distance Education Support too!
