COVID-19 and Transcript Request

Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, the University is exercising social distancing practices as well as telecommuting.  Transcripts requests will still be processed; however, to expedite your request, we are recommending that students choose the electronic PDF option.  There is a nominal fee of $2.85, which is paid to the vendor, Parchment.  The transcript may be requested online through AP OneStop under Student Records>Request Secure Electronic Transcript or you may also request it directly from Parchment by clicking here.

Please note if you have a transcript hold on your record, there may be a slight delay in the processing of your transcript.  You must resolve the transcript hold before we are authorized to release your transcript.  Please contact us at 931-221-7150 or at registrar@apsu.edu if you need assistance in determining the reason for your hold. 

If you attended Austin Peay during a period when records were not automated, there may be a delay in processing your request, depending on the status of the current situation.

Transcript Requests

NOTE:  Electronic PDF Transcripts are now Available!

Students may request copies of transcripts from the Office of the Registrar at any time permitting there are no holds on the account. There is no charge for transcripts unless  you request a secure, electronic PDF transcript.  A convenience fee of $2.85 is charged by the vendor, Parchment, to have transcripts sent electronically.  Transcript requests will be processed in the order received.  Please allow 5-7 business days to process transcripts submitted through AP OneStop.  A reminder that processing may take longer for students who have asked that their transcripts be held pending posting of grades or degree. 


Students may request their academic transcript online through AP OneStop or directly through Parchment.  Transcripts requested online include a printed transcript or a secure, electronic PDF transcript. 

Printed Transcripts

 Printed transcripts are printed at APSU and mailed to the requested recipient.  Requests are processed daily and are typically mailed within 24-48 hours of the request. The exception to this would be a hold on the student's academic record which prevents the issuance of a transcript. Holds must be resolved in order for the release of an academic transcript to occur. If you receive an error message stating you have a hold, please contact the Office of the Registrar at 931.221.7121.

Secure Electronic PDF transcripts

Secure,electronic PDF transcripts are sent electronically to the recipient.  Transcripts sent electronically are processed immediately.  The exceptions to this would be a hold on the student's academic record which prevents the issuance of a transcript. In some instances, a student may have a Review Academic Record hold. This hold indicates that the academic record is a hard copy record and was not converted to our electronic records and flags the Office of the Registrar to review the academic record. The academic transcript will be sent the same business day, or no later than the following business day.

By Mail

Students may send a request by mail to our office. The student must include his or her name, last four of SSN, date of birth, maiden name if applicable, current address, complete address of the location the transcript is to be mailed to, the last date of attendance at APSU, and signature. The Transcript Request Form can be printed and mailed directly to the following address:

In Person

Transcripts may be requested by completing a Transcript Request Form in Ellington Room 316, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Transcript requests will be processed within 5-7 business days. There is no charge for transcripts.
